At 8:30 am, meet us in Parque Calderón to board the bus for a journey to Cajas National Park, located just 50 minutes away.

Our first stop will be the Llaviucu Lagoon, situated almost 10,000 feet (3,000 metres) above sea level. Here, we will commence a 1-hour 30-minute hiking route to explore local flora and fauna.

After hiking, we will travel to the Loma de las Tres Cruces (Three Crosses Hill), positioned at over 13,000 feet (4,000 metres) above sea level, marking the continental divide between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Enjoy views of the glacier lakes within the park, which features more than 200 of them.

Next, we will have a brief stop at Toreadore Lake and then visit the Polilepys Forest, known for its ancient trees and biological diversity in the páramo region.

After the hike, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, including potato soup and a choice of trout or roast chicken.

We will begin our return journey and arrive back at Parque Calderón in Cuenca by 3 pm, concluding the tour.
