At 8:30 am, meet us at Parque Calderón to board our bus for a drive to Cajas National Park, located just 50 minutes away.

Our first stop will be Llaviucu Lagoon, situated almost 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) above sea level, and the lowest area of the park. Here, we'll embark on a 1-hour 30-minute hiking route to explore the local flora and fauna.

After the hike, we will proceed to Loma de las Tres Cruces, or "Three Crosses Hill," found at over 13,000 feet (4,000 meters). This area marks the continental divide between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, offering views of the more than 200 glacier lakes in the park.

Next, we will make a brief stop at Toreadore Lake before visiting the Polilepys Forest, known for its ancient trees and biodiversity.

After the activities, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, featuring potato soup and a choice of trout or roast chicken. We will then return to Parque Calderón in Cuenca, concluding the tour at 3 pm.
