At the arranged time, we will gather at your chosen meeting point and set off for Cava San Miguel, located just 15 minutes from Cuenca's city center.

Upon arrival at this rum facility, you will embark on a guided exploration where you will discover the process by which sugarcane is converted into a delightful spirit in this elevated region. Learn about its rich history and savor its distinctive fragrances!

In the Cava San Miguel cellars, thousands of oak barrels rest, aging the distilled sugarcane spirits. Due to the quality and characteristics of the wood, combined with meticulous monitoring of each barrel and advanced selection techniques, these liquors gradually evolve into Ecuador’s authentic natural rum.

Next, we will head towards the western mountain range, and after a brief 30-minute drive, we will arrive at Hostería dos Chorreras, situated in the picturesque Cajas National Park. Enveloped by lagoons and diverse vegetation of the Andes páramo ecosystem, this estate represents a true natural haven.

Here, you'll have three hours of leisure time to take in the breathtaking scenery, embark on tractor rides, fish for trout, or enjoy a boat outing. Additionally, you can tour the warehouse and savor a delectable meal at the restaurant by the stream or within the Chocolatería, a large establishment dedicated entirely to chocolate, where you can experience the rich taste of Equatorian aromatic cacao.

Finally, we will return to the initial meeting point in Cuenca, where we will bid farewell after this enriching 6-hour journey.
