Description

The adventure begins with hotel pickup in Cuenca at the scheduled time. We will head to Cajas National Park, a designated World Heritage Site. This will include a hike through the Polylepis forest, a protected area and significant water source for Cuenca.

During the journey, we will traverse the continental divide, making several stops to enjoy the natural beauty. A highlight will be a viewpoint showcasing over 200 glacial lakes. Lunch is planned at a restaurant during this excursion.

The trip includes a visit to a bustling market to experience local life and taste exotic fruits such as bananas, tangerines, coconuts, dragon fruit, and passion fruit.

Our next stop is Cacao de la Loma, a family farm focusing on cocoa bean cultivation. We will explore the process of cocoa, the main ingredient for making chocolate.
