Explore Ecuador's remarkable natural wonders on this day trip to Cajas National Park and Cacao de la Loma, departing from Cuenca and concluding in Guayaquil.

Description

We'll start by picking you up at your hotel in Cuenca at the scheduled time for the excursion to Cajas National Park and Cacao de la Loma.

The first stop is Cajas National Park, a designated World Heritage Site. Prepare for a hike through the Polylepis forest, a vital protected area and primary water source for Cuenca.

During the trip, we'll traverse the continental divide towards the lowlands, with stops to enjoy the natural beauty. A highlight will be a panoramic view of the park’s 200-plus glacial lakes. A lunch break will occur at a restaurant.

The adventure continues at a vibrant market, where you can experience local daily life and sample exotic fruits like bananas, tangerines, coconuts, dragon fruit, and passion fruit.

Next, we will visit Cacao de la Loma, a family farm cultivating cocoa beans. You will learn about cocoa, the key ingredient for making chocolate.

Before concluding the tour, enjoy a trout dish with rice or salad and a refreshing beverage. After 7 to 8 hours, we will drop you off at your hotel or designated point in Guayaquil.
