After being picked up from your hotel, you'll make your way to Cuenca's old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved historic city centre.

Your guided tour will begin in the Plaza de San Sebastián, home to the 19th-century Church of San Sebastián. At the Museum of Modern Art, located in the former Casa de la Temperancia, you will enjoy exhibitions from both Ecuadorian and foreign contemporary artists.

As you explore the city centre, you will visit key places like the San Francisco market and the vibrant open-air flower market at the Plaza de las Flores.

In Abdón Calderón Park, you can view the 16th-century Baroque-style Old Cathedral alongside the New Cathedral, which features a grand gold-leaf altar and pink marble floors from Carrara.

Your next stop will be a factory where traditional toquilla straw hats, known as Panama hats, are made. You will learn about the history and the hat weaving process, recognized as a practice of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Then, you will visit the banks of the River Tomebamba, seeing the colonial "hanging houses" and the famous Puento Roto, or Broken Bridge. Finally, you'll enjoy views over Cuenca from the Turi viewpoint.

After 4 hours, you will be dropped back off at your hotel.
