This trekking experience in Cajas National Park invites you to explore one of Cuenca's outstanding natural landmarks. As we traverse the valley of Llaviucu, you will have the chance to encounter the charming alpacas that inhabit this stunning landscape.

Trekking Adventure in Cajas National Park

Your journey begins at 9 am when a minibus picks you up from your hotel in Cuenca, transporting you to the town of Sayausí, which serves as the access point to Cajas National Park.

Upon reaching our destination, we will disembark the minibus and embark on a hiking adventure through the park. Here, we will delve into the Llaviucu Valley, known for its breathtaking natural beauty surrounding Cuenca. During the hike, we will follow an ancient Inca trail, gaining insight into the glacial origins of this incredible region.

As we progress along the route, we will discover picturesque locations within the national park, including the tranquil Llaviucu lagoon, the remnants of an abandoned German brewery, and lush meadows where wild horses and alpacas roam freely.

After a fulfilling morning immersed in Ecuador's natural beauty, we will return to your hotel by 2 pm.
