On this trekking route through the Cajas National Park, participants will explore one of Cuenca's main natural attractions, walking through the valley of Llaviucu and encountering alpacas.
Hiking in the Cajas National Park
At 9 am, pickup will be from your hotel in Cuenca, followed by travel by minibus to the town of Sayausí, the entry point to Cajas National Park.
Upon arrival, the hiking route through the park begins, featuring the Llaviucu Valley. Participants will trek along a millenary Inca trail and learn about the glacial origins of the area.
During the hike, highlights include the Llaviucu lagoon, an abandoned German brewery, and meadows where wild horses and alpacas graze.
After exploring the natural landscapes of Ecuador, the return to your hotel will be at 2 pm.
