On this trekking route through the Cajas National Park, we will explore one of the main natural attractions of Cuenca, including the valley of Llaviucu and encounters with alpacas.

Hiking in the Cajas National Park

At 9 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cuenca and travel by minibus to the town of Sayausí, the entry point to Cajas National Park.

Upon arrival, we will disembark and commence a hiking route through the park, specifically in the Llaviucu Valley, notable for its natural beauty. The hike follows a millenary Inca trail where participants will learn about the glacial origins of the region.

During the trek, we will encounter remarkable locations within the national park, such as the Llaviucu lagoon, an abandoned German brewery, and expansive meadows inhabited by wild horses and alpacas.

After a fulfilling morning in the natural landscapes of Ecuador, the tour will conclude, and you will return to your hotel by 2 pm.
