Adventure seekers, embark on an unforgettable trek along the Inca Trail from Culebrillas to Ingapirca, where the ancient civilization's heritage is remarkably preserved.

Description

We’ll collect you from your lodging in Cuenca at the scheduled time and head to the location where our trekking adventure on the Inca Trail will commence. Prepare to immerse yourself in the stunning scenery from Culebrillas to Ingapirca!

The journey kicks off at the Culebrillas lagoon, known for its breathtaking natural charm that enchants all visitors. From this point, we will set out on a well-maintained path that guides us through ancient Inca ranches and tampus. The history of this route that once joined Quito and Cusco will be revealed to you as we move forward!

As we progress, we'll ascend to an impressive height of 4,100 meters (13,451 feet) above sea level, where the reward for our efforts will be breathtaking views of the majestic mountains. Our trek will lead us to the village of San José, a place where local children warmly greet us, providing a perfect opportunity to rest and take in the surroundings. Here, we’ll enjoy a traditional lunch to replenish our energy.

Once we’ve refueled, our excursion continues with a visit to the Ingapirca archaeological site, recognized as one of Ecuador's paramount Inca heritage sites. As you explore these extraordinary ruins, insights into the Cañari and Inca civilizations will enrich your experience.

After approximately 10 hours of trekking the Inca Trail, we will return you to your hotel in Cuenca.
