Description
After picking you up at your accommodation in Cuenca at the indicated time, we'll proceed to the starting point of the trekking route along the Inca Trail. Discover the landscapes from Culebrillas to Ingapirca.
The walk begins at the Culebrillas lagoon, renowned for its natural beauty. We will walk on a paved path through ranches and tampus built by the Incas. We will share the history of this path that connected Quito with Cusco.
Midway, we will reach an elevation of 4,100 metres (13,451 feet) above sea level, offering panoramic views of the mountains. Our journey will take us to the village of San José, where we will have a typical lunch and interact with local children.
After resting, we will visit the archaeological site of Ingapirca, an important Inca site in Ecuador. During our exploration, we will discuss the Cañari and Inca cultures.
Following 10 hours of trekking along the Inca Trail, we will return you to your hotel in Cuenca.
