Willemstad Guided Tour
We'll begin our adventure at the prearranged time by gathering at the bus stop located in front of Fuerte Rif, ready to embark on our exploration of Willemstad. Let’s unveil the wonders of the capital of Curaçao!
Our journey starts with a pleasant walk through the streets, leading us to our first halt at the Kura Botanica Hotel. Here, we will take a moment to appreciate the facade of this significant establishment, known for its intriguing history. Following this, we will cross the renowned Queen Emma Bridge, where we can take in breathtaking coastal views!
The next phase of our guided tour will bring us to the historic downtown area, where we'll pass by Fort Amsterdam, constructed in 1635. This fortification now serves as the residence of the Governor and features a Protestant church nestled within its courtyard.
Continuing on, we will visit the vibrant old floating market, originally a marketplace for Venezuelan goods. Nowadays, it's a hub where local farmers and fishermen offer fresh produce and crafts. Additionally, we'll have the chance to view the oldest active synagogue in the western hemisphere.
After approximately 2.5 hours dedicated to exploration, we’ll conclude our guided tour in the historic district of Willemstad, bidding farewell to this captivating area.
