Willemstad Guided Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the bus stop in front of Fuerte Rif to set off on our guided tour of Willemstad. We'll start walking through the streets until we reach the Kura Botanica Hotel, where we'll make our first stop. We'll admire the facade of this emblematic lodging. Afterwards, we'll cross the iconic Queen Emma Bridge and enjoy views of the coastline.
The tour will then take us to the historic downtown district, where we'll pass by Fort Amsterdam, built in 1635, now home to the Governor's Palace and a Protestant church located in the courtyard.
Next, we'll visit the old floating market, known for goods from Venezuela, where local farmers and fishermen sell fresh products and handicrafts. We will also see the oldest active synagogue in the western hemisphere.
After 2.5 hours of sightseeing, we'll conclude our guided tour of Willemstad in its historic district.
