Willemstad Tourist Train
At 10 am, we'll meet at Fort Amsterdam and board the tourist train that'll take us around the most beautiful parts of Willemstad.
The train will start towards Scharloo, a neighbourhood with picturesque houses built during the 1880s. We'll stop in front of the Bolo di Bruit, known as "the wedding cake", one of the most photographed buildings in the city.
We'll then head to the Pietermaai Cathedral, the largest church on the island. We will discuss its history and its status as part of a World Heritage Site in the historic area and harbour of Willemstad.
Next, we'll pass by Queen Wilhelmina Park, where cultural events take place, and Waterfort Arches, a fortress that was previously the site of the Barracks of William III of the Netherlands. Time for some history!
After 1 hour, the tourist train ride in Willemstad will conclude as we return to Fort Amsterdam.
