Bandia Reserve and Lac Rose Private Trip

We'll pick you up at the scheduled time from your hotel in Dakar and head to the first stop, Bandia Nature Reserve. In these areas, you'll discover a forest of baobab trees native to the African savanna.

Upon arrival in Bandia, we will switch to an all-terrain vehicle for an adventure in this huge nature reserve. Encounter zebras, rhinos, giraffes, monkeys, buffalos, and ostriches in their natural habitat.

After the tour of the nature reserve, we'll proceed to Lac Rose (Pink Lake), the last stage of the Paris-Dakar Rally until 2008. You will have free time to eat before an exciting 4x4 tour around the stunning lake of pink waters, which is separated from the ocean by sand dunes.

You will witness inhabitants extracting salt from the lake using traditional techniques. If time allows, you may also take a 15-minute dip in the rose-colored water. After the ATV trip, we will return to Dakar, concluding the activity in approximately 9 to 10 hours.

Lac Rose

Due to heavy rains in the summer of 2024, the lake has accumulated more water and lost its color. Salt extraction activities have resumed, along with tours, but the color has not returned yet, and the timeline for its return remains uncertain.
