If you want to discover all the top sights around the city of Dakar then we have the perfect trip for you. Besides exploring the fascinating capital of Senegal, we will also take a fun boat trip to the beautiful island of Goree.

Dakar and Goree Island Private Trip

After collecting you at the scheduled time from your hotel in Dakar, we'll head to the port where a ferry will take us to the island of Goree. The ferry journey lasts about 20 minutes. There, you will learn about significant historical events related to the Atlantic slave trade, as Goree is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During our visit, we will explore the House of Slaves and the Historical Museum of Senegal. Afterward, we will walk through Goree's colorful streets and admire its colonial houses, making a stop for lunch during your free time before returning to Dakar on the ferry.

Upon our return to Dakar, we will embark on a guided tour of the historic city center, visiting key locations such as Independence Square, the Presidential Palace, the markets of Kermel and Sandaga, and the city's cathedral. We will also visit the Medina neighborhood, where you can see the Grand Mosque of Dakar and the Tilene market, known for Shamans selling charms and amulets.

The tour of Dakar concludes back at your hotel, approximately 8 to 9 hours after the start of the trip.
