What to expect

At 9 am, we will collect you from your hotel in Dakar and drive inland towards the district of Thiès.

After about an hour, we will arrive at Keur Moussa, a Benedictine monastery where monks live and worship. You will enter the shrine to witness a genuine Sunday African mass.

Upon entering the monastery, you will hear the sound of Gregorian chanting marking the start of the ceremony, accompanied by traditional West African instruments such as the kora, balafon, and djembe.

After the mass, we will visit the monastery's shop, where you can find a range of handicrafts made by the Senegalese monks. You may purchase one as a souvenir of your trip.

The trip to Keur Moussa concludes back in Dakar, where we will drop you off at your hotel around 1 pm.
