This trip to the Saloum Delta National Park offers an opportunity to discover Senegal's natural beauty through a ride in a motorized canoe.
Saloum Delta Private Trip
After hotel pickup in Dakar, we will travel southeast to the Saloum Delta. Upon arriving at the fishing village of Ndangane, you will board a motorized canoe, the typical transport in this area.
While aboard, we will navigate the Saloum Delta, where the Sine and Saloum rivers flow into the Atlantic Ocean. During the cruise, you will experience landscapes of mangrove swamps and palm trees, along with sightings of exotic birds, including pelicans.
We will make a stop for lunch at one of the park's restaurants, allowing you to enjoy traditional Senegalese cuisine. After your meal, we will visit a Niominkas village, associated with the Serer ethnic group, where residents engage in fishing on the river islands.
The trip concludes with a return to Dakar, where you will be dropped off at your hotel 11 to 12 hours after departure.
