Saloum Delta Private Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Dakar, we will travel southeast to the Saloum Delta. Upon arriving at the fishing village of Ndangane, we will stop at the riverbank where a motorized canoe will be waiting. These vessels are commonly used for transport in the area.
Aboard the boats, we will cruise along the Saloum Delta, where the Sine and Saloum rivers meet before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. The journey features landscapes of mangrove swamps and palm trees, along with views of various species of exotic birds, including pelicans.
We will take a break for lunch at one of the park's restaurants to sample traditional Senegalese cuisine. Afterward, we will visit a Niominkas village, inhabited by a tribe related to the Serer ethnic group who engage in fishing.
The trip concludes with a return to Dakar, dropping you back at your hotel approximately 11 to 12 hours after the departure.
