Join us to explore a World Biosphere Reserve on this excursion to the Saloum Delta from Dakar! You can choose between a 1 or 2-day tour, depending on your preference.

Tour to the Saloum Delta

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Dakar and drive by minibus to the village of Ndangane, the gateway to the Saloum Delta National Park. The journey will take us about 2.5 hours.

Once we've arrived, we'll board a boat and start sailing through the mangroves at the confluence of the Sine and Salu rivers. The 3-hour crossing will allow us to admire the landscape and see typical villages such as Mar Fafako, Mar Souloum, or Mar Lodj. We'll also learn about the Fulani people and observe the numerous birds in the area, including pelicans, herons, and cormorants.

After the boat tour, we'll return to Ndangane for lunch, consisting of a typical Senegalese dish. The entire tour lasts approximately 10-12 hours.

2-Day Excursion

For a more immersive experience, consider the 2-day excursion to the Saloum Delta. The itinerary is similar but allows more time to enjoy the landscapes. We will stay in the region for 1 night and enjoy the stars.

Accommodation will be at the Essamaye camp and includes lunch and dinner on the first day and breakfast on the second day. The tour concludes at approximately 2 PM on day 2 back at your hotel in Dakar.
