Habarana Day Trip

At 10 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Dambulla for a 30-minute drive to Habarana. Upon arrival, we will begin exploring Habarana to gain insight into the local lifestyle.

The primary mode of transportation in this area is the ox-drawn cart. We will experience this by taking a ride to the shores of Lake Habarana.

Once at the lake, a relaxing cruise will allow you to observe its unique flora and fauna. Afterwards, we will dock by a rice field to learn about the significance of rice cultivation in Sri Lanka and take a stroll through the rice paddies.

We will then visit a local family home, where you will learn to prepare several typical Sri Lankan dishes. This will be followed by a buffet lunch featuring rice, curry, fish, salad, and crispy papadam.

Finally, we will return to your hotel in Dambulla, arriving at approximately 1:30 pm.
