Minneriya National Park Safari
Picks up will be from your hotel in Dambulla, followed by a 40-minute drive to Minneriya National Park. You will embark on a safari through Minneriya in an all-terrain Jeep, where you will learn about the local wildlife, including loris monkeys and Sri Lankan crocodiles.
A brief lunch break is included; please bring a picnic. After lunch, you will experience a highlight of the safari: observing the Minneriya elephants, noted for their distinct trunk and ears, which set them apart from African elephants.
As the safari continues, you will also see a variety of bird species such as herons, pelicans, and ibises, often found near the park's aquifers and lakes, alongside large buffaloes.
The jeep safari concludes at the park entrance, from where you will return to your hotel in Dambulla by minibus, arriving 5 hours later.
