Minneriya National Park Safari

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Dambulla and then drive for just 40 minutes to the extensive natural area of Minneriya National Park.

We take a safari through Minneriya on board of an all-terrain Jeep. During the tour, you will learn about the creatures inhabiting this ecosystem, such as loris monkeys and Sri Lankan crocodiles.

A short break will allow you to have lunch - remember to bring a picnic! Afterward, we will focus on one of the highlights of the safari: the Minneriya elephants! You will observe these large mammals, noting the characteristic trunk and ears distinguishing them from African elephants.

Continuing the safari, we will observe various birds of Minneriya, including herons, pelicans, and ibis, often seen in the aquifers and lakes, along with large buffaloes.

The jeep safari will end at the park entrance. From there, we will return by minibus to your hotel in Dambulla, arriving 5 hours later.
