Minneriya National Park Safari

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Dambulla and then drive for just 40 minutes to one of the most extensive natural areas of Sri Lanka: the Minneriya National Park.

To get to know all the areas of the park in detail, we take a fantastic safari through Minneriya on board an all-terrain Jeep. During the tour, you will hear fascinating facts about the creatures that inhabit this ecosystem, such as loris monkeys and Sri Lankan crocodiles.

We then take a short break for lunch - remember to bring a picnic. After reenergizing, we will observe the famous Minneriya elephants! These mammals have distinctive trunks and ears that characterize the Asian species.

Following the elephants, we continue to observe the variety of birds of Minneriya, such as herons, pelicans, and ibis, along with enormous buffaloes in the park's aquifers and lakes.

The jeep safari will end at the entrance of the park. We will then return by minibus to your hotel in Dambulla, arriving 5 hours later.
