Description
Day 1: Delhi
Upon arriving at Delhi airport, our staff will welcome you at the arrivals hall. We'll then escort you to your hotel, where you will spend the next two nights. Once settled, you’ll have the rest of the day to explore at your own pace.
Day 2: Delhi
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, we will venture into the capital city of India. Our itinerary begins with a visit to the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in the nation. Next, we will visit Raj Ghat, the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, and pause briefly to admire the stunning Red Fort, where you can snap photos of its extraordinary architecture.
Our exploration continues with a panoramic tour of the government buildings along the Raj Path, culminating at the impressive India Gate. A relaxing lunch break will follow, allowing you to savor a delicious local dish.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Sikh Temple, noted for its striking golden dome, as well as the historic Qutub Minar. After a full day, we’ll return to the hotel for dinner and a restful evening.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur
We will begin our day with a revitalizing breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a scenic drive southwest, arriving in Jaipur, affectionately known as the "Pink City". The journey takes about four hours.
In the afternoon, we will tour the Patrika Gate, followed by a photo opportunity at the splendid Albert Hall Palace. We will then lead you to the Birla Temple, where you can observe an Aarti ceremony, a captivating ritual involving fire. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 4: Jaipur - Amber Fort - Jaipur
The morning will kick off with breakfast, after which we will head to Amber to visit the Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site sitting grandly on a hilltop.
Once our exploration of the fort is complete, we’ll return to Jaipur to explore the Maharaja's Palace, an 18th-century marvel rich in history. We'll wander through its museums and then visit the Jai Singh Observatory, followed by a lovely lunch. Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel will wrap up the day.
Day 5: Jaipur - Ranthambore National Park
After breakfast, we will depart for Ranthambore National Park, located about 180 kilometers (111 miles) north of Jaipur, well-known for its tiger conservation efforts as part of Project Tiger. Note that the park is closed from July 1 to September 30.
Upon our arrival in this wilderness sanctuary, we will explore the Ranthambore Fort, which dates back to the 10th century. This fort, one of the oldest in Rajasthan, offers breathtaking views of the national park from its elevated position. After touring the fort, we’ll head to the tiger reserve hotel, where you can unwind over lunch and relax until the next day's adventures.
Day 6: Ranthambore National Park
Our sixth day is filled with excitement as we embark on two safari adventures in Ranthambore National Park, one in the morning and another later in the afternoon. We will meet with expert guides who will brief us on safety protocols. Boarding our 4x4 vehicles, we will traverse the expansive park, which covers over 390 square kilometers (96,371 acres) and is framed by the Chambal and Banas rivers, in our quest to spot the elusive Bengal tiger.
Throughout our safari, we will witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, as well as encounter a variety of wildlife including leopards, wild boars, crocodiles, monkeys, gazelles, antelopes, and lizards. Interestingly, this area was once a favored hunting ground for the maharajas of Jaipur.
Once the safari ends, we’ll return to the hotel for dinner and rest.
Day 7: Ranthambore - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After breakfast at the hotel, we will continue our journey to Fatehpur Sikri, the former imperial capital abandoned due to a water shortage. This site remains beautifully preserved, resembling a snapshot from the past. We will then proceed to Agra, a city that, along with Delhi, was once a capital of the illustrious Mughal dynasty.
After enjoying lunch in Agra, we will visit one of India's most celebrated landmarks: the Taj Mahal, a stunning mausoleum recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Nestled along the banks of the Yamuna River, this monument stands as a testament to eternal love.
We'll wrap up the day with a return to our hotel in Agra for the night.
Day 8: Agra - Delhi
On our final day, after breakfast, we will visit another significant site in Agra: the Red Fort, India's largest fort. Following this, we will head back to the hotel to collect our luggage and enjoy a relaxing lunch. Our journey will then take us to Delhi airport, marking the end of our adventure.
