Immerse yourself in the ancient history and culture of India on this private tour of Delhi. Discover emblematic places such as Ghandi’s tomb and the Red Fort.
Description
After picking you up from your hotel, we will visit the walled city of ancient Delhi. Inside this fortified area, we will see the Jama Masjid mosque, one of the largest in India, with domes and minarets visible from many parts of the city.
The tour continues with a visit to the Red Fort, a 17th-century palace complex and a World Heritage Site, commissioned by Shah Jahan I, emperor of the Mughal Dynasty, who also built the Taj Mahal.
From the Red Fort, we will begin a rickshaw ride to the Chandni Chowk Bazaar, Raj Ghat memorial, and Ghandi's tomb. At this monument, we will reflect on the history of Ghandi, a key figure in the pacifist movement.
In the afternoon, after some free time to eat, we will head to New Delhi to see the Qutab Minar, the largest brick-built minaret in the world, constructed to surpass another tower in Afghanistan.
Finally, we will admire the architecture of the Gates of India, the national parliament, and the presidential palace, before returning to your hotel in Delhi.
