Immerse yourself in the ancient history and culture of India on this private tour of Delhi. Discover emblematic places such as Ghandi’s tomb and the Red Fort!

Description

After picking you up from your hotel, we will visit the walled city of ancient Delhi. Inside this fortified area, we will explore the Jama Masjid mosque, one of the largest in India, featuring prominent domes and minarets.

The tour continues with an admiration of the renowned Red Fort. This 17th-century palace complex is a World Heritage Site, commissioned by Shah Jahan I of the Mughal Dynasty, who also built the Taj Mahal.

From the Red Fort, we will take a rickshaw ride to the Chandni Chowk Bazaar, Raj Ghat memorial, and Ghandi's tomb. At this site, we will reflect on the history of Ghandi, a leader in the pacifist movement, as we visit this significant monument.

In the afternoon, after some time for lunch, we will proceed to New Delhi to visit the Qutab Minar, the largest brick-built minaret globally, constructed to surpass another tower in Afghanistan.

Finally, we will admire the architecture of the Gates of India, the national parliament, and the presidential palace before returning to your hotel in Delhi.
