Explore the captivating essence of traditional architecture, colorful markets, and breathtaking landscapes in this scenic journey to Berastagi and Lingga, departing from Medan.
Description
Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel in Medan, followed by a two-hour drive southwest towards Lingga village.
En route, we will pause briefly at Lumbini Park. Here, you will encounter a contemporary Buddhist temple, inaugurated in 2010, designed in homage to the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda of Burma. Its gleaming gold-leaf embellishments and massive entrance are truly awe-inspiring!
Next, we’ll take a leisurely stroll through a local fruit market before resuming our journey to Lingga. Upon arrival, we will observe various traditional structures, including the rumah rajah, or the king’s residence, and the sapo ganjang, which serves as a gathering place for young men.
At noon, we will reach Berastagi, where you'll enjoy a two-hour break to savor lunch and explore the town at your own pace. We suggest visiting Taman Hutan Raya Forest Park, hiking up Gundaling Hill for an unforgettable panorama of Berastagi, or checking out the local fruit and vegetable markets—choose what intrigues you most!
Once your free time concludes, we will gather to return you to your hotel in Medan, completing a delightful 8-hour experience.
