Venture into central Sumatra and discover the unique architecture of the Batak villages. Explore Lake Toba and visit the traditional villages of Samosir Island on this tour from Medan.

Lake Toba & Samosir Private Tour

At 6 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Medan and drive to the village of Parapat, located on the shores of Lake Toba. After a four-hour journey, we will board a ferry to Samosir Island, enjoying views of the volcanic landscapes.

Upon arrival, we will visit the village of Tomok, home to the tomb of King Sidabutar, one of the oldest royal tombs of the Batak people. We will discuss the origins of these indigenous Indonesian cultures while admiring the typical architecture.

Next, we will tour the village of Ambarita, where we will see their meeting halls, rice barns, and houses with characteristic stone courtyards.

After the guided tour, you will have an hour of free time for refreshments at a local restaurant. We will then return by boat to Parapat.

Our private tour will conclude at your hotel in Medan at 6 pm.
