Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the famous sculpture, The Big Sweep, to start our guided tour of Denver. Prepare to learn about the history and secrets of the city through its historic buildings and emblematic spaces.

We will walk a short distance to the Colorado Women's History Center, located in a 19th-century mansion. This museum reveals the stories of the women involved in the Great Western Expansion, providing a unique perspective on the history of the region, often associated solely with men and mining.

Next, we will visit the Colorado State Capitol, completed in the late 19th century. Its architecture reflects the U.S. Capitol style, showcasing the city’s rich history. Here we will discuss the founding of the city and the state's evolution.

From there, we will proceed to Downtown to see the historic Brown Palace Hotel, built in 1890, known for its atrium-style design and as a gathering place for the elite. We will also cover some of the area's gambling and speakeasy stories.

Finally, we will cross the 16th Street Mall to reach Larimer Square. This tree-lined square with historic facades marks the conclusion of our 2-hour guided tour.
