Tour Details

At the indicated time we'll meet at the famous sculpture, The Big Sweep, to begin our guided tour of Denver. This tour will reveal the history and secrets of the city through its historic buildings and emblematic spaces.

We will walk to the Colorado Women's History Center, located in a 19th-century mansion. This museum highlights the stories of women who contributed to the Great Western Expansion, offering a different perspective on the region's history.

Next is the Colorado State Capitol, built in the late 19th century. Its architecture resembles the U.S. Capitol and reflects the city’s rich history. We will discuss the founding of the city and state development here.

Then, we will move to Downtown to view the Brown Palace Hotel, established in 1890. This venue was known for hosting elite classes and features unique atrium-style architecture. We will learn about its history related to gambling and speakeasies.

Finally, we'll cross the 16th Street Mall, a prominent pedestrian street, to reach Larimer Square. This tree-lined square with historic facades marks the end of our 2-hour guided tour.
