Penguin Island Day Trip

At 8 am, we'll set sail from the Puerto Penacho dock to Penguin Island.

During a one-hour trip along the Santa Cruz coast, you might see animals including Peale's dolphins. If the weather conditions are favorable, we'll encounter several species of birds and sea lions. This area of Argentina has great biodiversity!

Upon disembarking on Penguin Island, we'll take a three-hour walking tour, observing the large colony of Magellanic penguins. We will also explore the island's ancient relics, such as the lighthouse and the farm ruins.

The tour includes a visit to the highest point of the island for excellent views of the Penguin Island Interjurisdictional Marine Park, followed by a visit to the colony of yellow-crowned penguins on the opposite side.

We will enjoy a portion of homemade pudding accompanied by a drink, with options including tea, coffee, mate, or chocolate milk.

Finally, we'll observe the colony of sea lions and elephant seals before heading back to Puerto Deseado, arriving at the departure pier at 1 pm.
