Diriyah Day Trip

On this day trip to Diriyadh, we'll visit the first Saudi state and enjoy the traditional Najdi architecture in this World Heritage city.

Description

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Riyadh at the indicated time and drive northwest of the city. After a 30-minute drive, we'll arrive in Diriyah, the birthplace of the first Saudi state.

Once at our destination, you'll have free time to explore this historic location. Muhammad bin Saud was the Amir who founded the state of Diriyah and the first of the Saud dynasty, which continues to rule the country today. The city served as the capital of the Nejed region between the 15th and 18th centuries.

We'll learn about the history of this historic city, dating back to the time of the trade routes between Asia, Africa, and Europe. We will discover why Unesco listed it as a World Heritage Site in 2010 and appreciate its typical Najdi architecture as we stroll through its streets.

Additionally, we'll observe how the Saudi government plans to transform Diriyah into one of the largest metropolises in the Middle East through ambitious urban development projects.

After the guided tour of Diriyah, we will regroup and return to Riyadh, with a drop-off at your hotel scheduled 4 hours after pickup.
