Explore markets, palaces, museums and forts on this tour of Riyadh. We'll visit the Saudi Arabian capital and learn about its history and emblematic monuments.

Description

When reserving, there are two different itineraries. Both start at the same time with pickup from your hotel in Riyadh and will end at the same place.

5-Hour Tour

Discover the old centre of Riyadh by visiting the Dirah market, known for rugs and Saudi antiques, and experiencing the scents of sandalwood and spices. Next, we will go to the Masmak palace, which dates back to the 14th century. We will explore its history and its significance to the Saudi Arabian Kingdom through notable figures like Abdullah bin Rashid and Abdulaziz ibn Saúd.

8-Hour Tour

This longer option includes a visit to the Nation Museum of Saudi Arabia, featuring statues, manuscripts and sculptures that highlight the history of the Arabian peninsula. We will then stop at Murabba Palace, built under Abdulaziz bin Saúd, the first king of Saudi Arabia. A collection of his personal objects will be on display. A delicious lunch follows, before we explore two markets and return to Masmak palace. The tour concludes with a visit to the Kingdom Centre, where we will ascend almost 300 metres (1000 feet) for panoramic views of Riyadh before returning to the hotel.
