Explore markets, palaces, museums, and forts on this tour of Riyadh. We'll visit the Saudi Arabian capital and learn about its history and emblematic monuments.

Description

When reserving, there are two different itineraries. Both start at the same time with pickup from your hotel in Riyadh and will end at the same place.

5-Hour Tour

This itinerary focuses on the old centre of Riyadh. We'll begin at the Dirah market, known for selling rugs and Saudi antiques, while enjoying the scent of sandalwood and spices.

Next, we'll visit the Masmak palace, with origins dating back to the 14th century. We'll explore the history of this fortress and discuss important figures such as Abdullah bin Rashid and Abdulaziz ibn Saúd, crucial in the formation of the modern Saudi state.

8-Hour Tour

This itinerary includes a visit to the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, showcasing statues, manuscripts, and sculptures that reflect the history of the Arabian peninsula.

Our second stop will be the Murabba Palace, built by Abdulaziz bin Saúd, the first king of Saudi Arabia. Here, we'll view a collection of personal items belonging to the king.

After lunch, we'll visit two markets and the Masmak palace before heading to the Kingdom Centre. We'll ascend nearly 300 metres (1000 feet) for panoramic views of Riyadh before returning to the hotel.
