On this tour of Ushaiqer we will visit one of the oldest villages in Saudi Arabia and travel through the desert to discover an authentic oasis full of history.

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Riyadh and head northwest to Ushaiqer, one of the oldest villages in the region. After approximately two hours of driving, we'll reach Ushaiqer, a World Heritage Site at the foot of an imposing red mountain. Upon arrival, we'll walk through its streets, learning about its past, as it is more than a millennium old.

Ushaiqer has been a reference point for pilgrims traveling to Mecca due to its freshwater springs and extensive olive and palm plantations that provide shade from the desert climate.

During the tour, we will explore its narrow streets and admire its traditional Najdi-style houses, elegant palaces, and ancient mosques. We will also visit the Al Salem Museum, showcasing local heritage, including ancient tools, embroidered clothing, jewellery, and weapons.

Before returning to Riyadh, we'll stop for a delicious picnic lunch in the desert. We will conclude the tour and drop you back at your hotel approximately 8 hours after the start.
