Explore the rich blend of spirituality and Tibetan heritage on this tour of Buddhist culture as you make your way through Dharamshala.
Description
We'll explore Dharamshala's spiritual streets as we embark on a journey through Buddhist culture and meet at the Norbulingka Institute.
Our first stop is the Norbulingka Institute, founded by the Dalai Lama in 1988. Named after the Dalai Lama's summer residence in Lhasa, Tibet, it serves as an educational hub preserving Tibetan culture, art, and literature. Discover its pivotal role in Buddhist culture and history.
Next, we'll visit the Dolma Ling Monastery in the picturesque Kangra Valley. Inaugurated by the Dalai Lama in 2005, this sanctuary houses around 240 monks from diverse Tibetan Buddhist traditions. Join us to delve into their daily lives and routines.
Our last stop is the Gyuto Monastery, renowned for tantric meditation, ritual arts, and Buddhist philosophy. Founded to safeguard the tantric teachings of Master Tsongkhapa, it holds a rich history and heritage waiting for us to explore.
After a deep immersion into Tibetan Buddhist culture and architecture, we'll return to our meeting point to conclude our tour after 3 hours.
