On this 5-day tour of Damascus, Palmyra and Maaloula, you'll visit the main archaeological treasures of Syria.

Description

Day 1: Damascus

Welcome to Syria! Upon arriving at either Damascus or Beirut airport, assistance will be provided for entry formalities. You will be taken to your hotel in Damascus for two nights.

Day 2: Damascus

Discover Damascus by visiting the National Archaeology Museum, learning about its history. Next, visit the Azem Palace, the Saladino Mausoleum, and the Umayyad Mosque. Other sites include Right Street, Saint Ananias Chapel, Window of Saint Paul, and the Damascus souks. Overnight in the hotel in Damascus.

Day 3: Damascus - Maaloula - Krak des Chevaliers - Homs

After breakfast, head to Maaloula, 65 kilometers (40 miles) away, known for its rock-built houses and the Aram language. Proceed to Krak des Chevaliers, a templar fort, before heading to Homs for the night.

Day 4: Homs - Palmyra - Damascus

After breakfast, travel to the ruins of the World Heritage Site Palmyra. Explore the Temple of Bel, Arch of Triumph, Great Colonnade, Agora, the theatre, and the Necropolis of Palmyra. Return to Damascus for the night.

Day 5: Damascus

After breakfast in Damascus, you will be taken to the airport in Damascus or Beirut for your return flight.
