Our sightseeing adventure across Syria and Lebanon begins in the heart of Damascus, exploring its hidden treasures. We will first visit the National Archaeological Museum to gain insights into the history of Syria's capital, uncovering various epochs through its showcases. Next, we will tour the Al-Azm Palace, which reveals the lifestyle of past Damascene nobility.
Our exploration will continue at the Mausoleum of Saladin, an iconic figure of history, and the stunning Umayyad Mosque, celebrated for its captivating architecture. The tour will also take us through Straight Street, the Saint Ananias House, and the Chapel of Saint Paul, along with a stroll through the vibrant souqs of Damascus.
At day’s end, we will return to our hotel.
Day 3: From Damascus to Palmyra and Homs, then Al-Mishtaya
Following breakfast, we will set off towards Palmyra, famously known as the capital of the desert, home to one of the region's most remarkable collections of ancient monuments. We will explore the extraordinary Temple of Bel, the Triumphal Arch, the Great Colonnade, and the theatre, along with its historical tombs. Afterward, our journey continues to Homs, where we will visit its historic town.
Our final destination for the day will be Al-Mishtaya, a quaint village located near the impressive Krak des Chevaliers, where we will spend the night.
Day 4: Krak des Chevaliers, Homs, Apamea, Serjilla, and Aleppo
After enjoying breakfast, we will begin our exploration at Krak des Chevaliers, an awe-inspiring fortress constructed by the Knights Templar in Tripoli. We’ll then proceed to Homs to observe its iconic wooden waterwheels, which are still in operation today to aid irrigation.
Next, we will visit Apamea, an ancient city rich in Greek and Roman heritage, where the ruins of the Temple of Zeus Belos await us. This will be followed by a journey to Serjilla, a noteworthy archaeological site recognized as one of the best-preserved Byzantine "dead cities" in north-western Syria, abandoned between the 5th and 7th centuries AD.
At the end of the day, we will head to Aleppo for our overnight stay.
Day 5: Exploring Aleppo and Saint Simeon Stylites
After breakfast, our exploration of Aleppo will commence, a city steeped in history and strategically located along trade routes. We will visit its majestic Citadel, one of the largest and oldest fortifications in the world, followed by a walk through the delightful old covered souk. Additionally, we will admire the exterior of the Great Mosque, a stunning example of Umayyad architecture.
In the afternoon, we will journey to the Church of Saint Simeon Stylites, also known as Qal'at Sim'an, a 5th-century Christian sanctuary. After our panoramic tour, we’ll return to Aleppo for rest before the next day’s activities.
Day 6: Aleppo to Maaloula and back to Damascus
Following breakfast, we will set out for Maaloula, a picturesque village renowned for its rock-carved homes and for being one of the few places where Aramaic, the language of Christ, is still spoken. We will share fascinating stories about this locale!
After our visit, we’ll continue towards Damascus, where you will enjoy some leisure time before heading to your hotel for the night.
Day 7: Transitioning to Lebanon: Ksara, Anjar, Baalbek, and Beirut

Following our time in Anjar, we will proceed toward Baalbek to witness the massive Roman ruins, featuring the Temple of Jupiter, the Temple of Venus, and the stunning Temple of Bacchus, celebrated for their majestic architecture and preservation.
Before reaching Beirut, we will pause at the Ksara winery for a tasting of its renowned wines. Upon arriving in Beirut, we’ll check into the hotel for a well-deserved rest.
Day 8: Beirut, Byblos, Tripoli, and back to Beirut

We will explore key sites including the Phoenician walls, the Roman theatre, the Crusader Castle, the Church of St. John the Baptist, and the ancient port.
Next, we will continue to Tripoli, Lebanon’s second-largest city, known for its impressive citadel, various mosques, and souks that beautifully blend traditional and contemporary styles.
