Cultural Tour of Guaitil

We will meet at the evangelical church of Guaitil, located just outside of Santa Cruz in Guanacaste province. Our route will take us through the traditional village, showcasing the preserved 'tica' culture and welcoming locals. We will discuss the indigenous history of the island and the founding of Guaitil.

During the tour, we will explore the local trade of creating art pieces from mud and clay, a practice from pre-Hispanic times, and learn about culinary techniques used in local dishes.

After the village tour, we will visit a local family's home for a cultural exchange. You can choose from the following activities:
