Cultural Tour of Guaitil

We'll meet at the evangelical church of Guaitil, located just outside of Santa Cruz in the Guanacaste province. From there, we will traverse the winding alleys of one of the most traditional villages in the Pacific Northwest of Costa Rica.

As we explore Guaitil, we will encounter the preserved 'tica' culture, enriched by the locals welcoming visitors. We will discuss the rich indigenous history of Guaitil and its foundation.

Throughout the tour, we'll learn about the main local trade of creating art from mud and clay, a practice rooted in pre-Hispanic times. Additionally, we will cover some culinary techniques used in local dishes.

After touring the village, we will visit a local family's home for an authentic Costa Rican experience. You can select from the following activities:

Activities in Guaitil

During booking, choose one of the following activities, which each include a village tour and a traditional activity at a local home:
