Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Djerba to begin the trip. We'll drive for 2 hours along the old Roman road towards Tataouine, making a brief stop at the Chahbania Salt Lake to take photos of its stunning views.

Upon arrival in Tataouine, we'll explore for 1 to 2 hours. Highlights include the local market and traditional constructions that served as community granaries.

Our journey continues to Chenini, a village on a mountain slope. After a 20-minute drive, we'll view troglodyte houses and visit an old mosque at the foot of the mountain, revealing the area's ancient history.

After spending an hour in Chenini, we'll break for lunch in a restaurant where you can sample local cuisine such as Tunisian pastries and couscous. Once lunch concludes, we'll continue exploring the village and learn about Berber culture at Ksar Ouled Soltan, a preserved fortified granary.

On our return to Djerba, we'll stop for 30 minutes at Ksar Hadada, a notable filming location for Star Wars.

After a total of 8 hours, we'll return you to your hotel.
