Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Djerba to start this day trip. The journey begins with a 2-hour drive along the old Roman road towards Tataouine, with a brief stop at the Chahbania Salt Lake for photos.

In Tataouine, we will spend 1 to 2 hours exploring its history, including a visit to the local market and the traditional community granaries.

Next, we will proceed to Chenini, a village with troglodyte houses, after a 20-minute drive. We will also visit an old mosque near the village.

After an hour in Chenini, a lunch break will allow you to try local cuisine, including Tunisian pastries and couscous. Post-lunch, we’ll explore the village and learn about Berber culture at Ksar Ouled Soltan, a preserved granary.

On our return to Djerba, we will make a final 30-minute stop at Ksar Hadada, a filming location for Star Wars.

After a total of 8 hours, we will drop you off at your hotel.
