Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Djerba to begin this day trip to the south of Tunisia. We'll drive for 2 hours along the old Roman road towards Tataouine, making a brief stop at the Chahbania Salt Lake to admire its vibrant colors.

In Tataouine, we'll spend 1 to 2 hours exploring its history, including a visit to the local market and traditional constructions that served as community granaries.

Our journey continues to Chenini, a village at the top of a mountain slope. After a 20-minute drive, we will visit troglodyte houses and an old mosque at the foot of the mountain.

After an hour in Chenini, we will take a break for lunch at a restaurant, sampling local cuisine like Tunisian pastries and couscous. Post-lunch, we'll explore the narrow streets and learn about Berber culture at Ksar Ouled Soltan, a preserved fortified granary.

On our return to Djerba, we will stop for 30 minutes at Ksar Hadada, a notable Star Wars filming location. After a total of 8 hours, we will conclude our trip at your hotel.
