Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Djerba to start the trip. We'll drive for 2 hours along the old Roman road towards Tataouine, making a brief stop at the Chahbania Salt Lake, known for its unique colors.

Upon arrival in Tataouine, we will spend 1 to 2 hours learning about its history tied to a former French penal colony. The local market, filled with spices, and traditional constructions serving as community granaries will be explored.

Next, we will head to Chenini after a 20-minute drive. This village features unique troglodyte houses and an old mosque with ancient historical significance.

Following an hour of exploration in Chenini, we will take a break at a restaurant to enjoy local dishes such as Tunisian pastries and couscous. Afterwards, we will continue through the village's narrow streets, learning about Berber culture at Ksar Ouled Soltan, a well-preserved granary.

On our way back to Djerba, we will stop for 30 minutes at Ksar Hadada, a filming location for Star Wars.

After a total of 8 hours, we will return you to your hotel.
