Hondarribia, San Juan & San Pedro Tour
We'll meet at the San Sebastián Bus Station to head to Hondarribia, a fishing village in the northeast of Guipúzcoa. On our walk, we'll enjoy the colorful façades of San Nikolas Kalea, pass through the Puerta de Santa María de Atea in the historic center, and pose next to the sculpture of "Hatxero". We'll also visit the Town Hall, Casadevante Palace, and Zuloaga Palace.
Next, we will travel to San Juan, at the foot of Mount Jaizkibel. We will stroll along the old pier and see the fishermen's houses and historic palaces and churches. There will be an opportunity to visit a 17th-century house where French poet Victor Hugo stayed in 1843.
From San Juan, we will take a fishing boat across the bay to San Pedro, where we will learn more about the seafaring tradition of the Basque Country. Upon arrival, we will see La Torre, the ruins of an ancient fortress, and explore the old town's cobblestone streets overlooking the sea.
Finally, after a 4-hour excursion, we will return to San Sebastián.
