Discover San Sebastián's best-kept secret with this Traditional Cider House Tour. You'll have the opportunity to learn about Spanish sidra and enjoy a tasting session.

Description

At the established time, we'll meet in Bengoetxea Street in San Sebastian and travel just 20 minutes to enjoy a visit to a traditional cider house.

When we arrive at our destination, we'll tour the facilities of the Basque cider house. We'll see the apple orchards, the cellars, the production process, and the history that links cider with the Basque Country.

After the tour, we'll carry out the Txotx ritual, which consists of drinking the apple broth directly from the vats. While enjoying this tasting, we'll sample a menu consisting of a traditional appetizer, a cod omelet, fried cod with peppers, grilled T-bone steak, and cheese with quince jelly and walnuts.

The tour will end after four hours, back at the starting point in San Sebastián.

Depending on the season and availability, we'll visit one of the following traditional cider houses: Aburuza, Astarbe, Petritegi, Iparragirre, or Saizar.
