On this excursion from Duala, we'll tour the Pongo-Songo nature reserve by boat, spending a day with chimpanzees on the banks of the Sanaga river.

At 8 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Douala and travel west to Marienberg. There, we'll board a boat to Pongo Island, home of the Pongo-Songo Reserve, where we'll encounter the chimpanzees.

The boat will sail along the Sanaga River to this natural reserve in western Cameroon, where the Papaye France association protects the region's chimpanzees. During our visit, we will learn about the conservation efforts of this organization. The chimpanzees are one of the most endangered animals in the region.

We'll visit the reserve's infirmary to observe how the chimpanzees are cared for and see baby chimpanzees. After this insightful experience at Pongo-Songo, we will enjoy a picnic lunch.

After lunch, we will return to the boat for our journey back to the departure dock. We will conclude the excursion to the Pongo-Songo Reserve at 5 pm, returning to your hotel.
