Do you want to visit one of the largest castles in England? With this ticket to Dover Castle, you'll learn all about this medieval fortress, including its role in World War II.
Description
Situated at the narrowest point of the English Channel, Dover Castle is one of the largest and most strategically important strongholds in the United Kingdom, known as the 'Lock and Key of England.' Your visit will include a medieval exhibition that takes you back to the time of King Henry II and explores the castle's establishment in the 12th century.
Inside, you'll see recreations of various rooms, including private chambers, guest rooms, great halls, the armory, and the kitchen. The castle offers impressive views of the Strait of Dover and the town of Dover. You can also access the atmospheric medieval underground tunnels, which played a crucial role during World War II, including the Miracle of Dunkirk in the 1940s.
