Are you ready to explore one of England's most significant castles? With admission to Dover Castle, you will delve into the history of this medieval stronghold and its influence during World War II.

Description

Perched at the slimmest section of the English Channel, Dover Castle stands as one of the largest and most strategically vital fortifications in the UK, earning its nickname as the 'Lock and Key of England'.

Your journey through Dover Castle will take you to the medieval exhibition, transporting you back to the era of King Henry II, and offering insights into how this incredible structure emerged in the 12th century.

As you navigate through the castle, you will find recreations of various spaces, including private chambers, guest quarters, great halls, the armory, the kitchen, and more! The castle also boasts stunning views of both the Strait of Dover and the surrounding town.

Additionally, you can venture into the historic underground tunnels carved into the iconic white cliffs of Dover. These tunnels, once shrouded in secrecy, were critical during World War II and played a significant role in the Miracle of Dunkirk in the 1940s, a story you will uncover during your visit.
