Our adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodations in San Salvador de Jujuy at the scheduled time, followed by a scenic drive northward towards Calilegua National Park, located around two and a half hours away.

As we travel, we will pass through the towns of San Pedro de Jujuy and Libertador General San Martin. During this time, our knowledgeable guide will share insights about the significance of sugar cane cultivation in the region and the intriguing history of the colonial estates that once thrived here.

Upon arrival at Calilegua National Park, we will step outside to delve into the park's diverse ecosystems, uncover its intriguing history, and discover the various flora and fauna that inhabit the area. Are you familiar with the term yungas? This tour will introduce you to their wonders!

Established as a protected reserve in 1979, the park is home to an impressive array of biodiversity, encompassing over 120 tree species, many varieties of ferns, and more than 400 species of mammals and birds. Among the notable inhabitants are toucans, tapirs, coatis, and even jaguars.

Next, we will journey to the Mesada de las Colmenas area, perched at an altitude of 1,900 meters (6,234 feet). This vantage point offers breathtaking views and is perfectly situated to appreciate the surrounding natural beauty.

You will then have a short break to enjoy a packed lunch before we commence our return trip to San Salvador de Jujuy. Covering approximately 400 kilometers, we expect to arrive back at your hotel around 11 hours after our departure.
