Are you passionate about nature? On this excursion to the Pozuelos Lagoon, we'll travel to the Puna region to visit an impressive conservation area in the northwest of Argentina.
Tour Highlights
We'll pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and head north to the Puna region in the province of Jujuy. First, we'll stop in the town of Abra Pampa to visit its handicraft market and observe the artisan work of local weavers.
After Abra Pampa, we'll proceed to the Pozuelos Lagoon, a protected area declared a Natural Monument, which serves as a habitat for numerous birds, notably a large colony of flamingos, visible from May to September. We'll take a break next to the lagoon for you to recharge; a picnic is recommended. Following lunch, we'll try to spot other wildlife, including vicuñas, suris, foxes, and chinchillas.
We will then return to your hotel, arriving between 9 and 11 hours after pickup.
