Ticket Options
When reserving this hiking activity, you can choose between two options. Both include hotel pickup in Salvador de Jujuy and conclude at the same designated point.
7-hour hike
Leaving San Salvador de Jujuy, our journey to the Jordan hot springs starts with a bus trip through the scenic Calilegua National Park. By mid-morning, we'll reach the town of San Francisco, beginning our descent on foot to the turquoise pools of the hot springs.
Upon reaching this natural haven, we'll find it's nestled in a shaded mountainous jungle area. Here, you may bathe in the rejuvenating waters. You'll also have time to enjoy lunch at local restaurants before we return to the starting point.
12-hour hike
After picking you up from your hotel in Salvador de Jujuy, we'll proceed to San Francisco.
We'll stroll through the town, learning about its history, then start our 700-meter descent (2,296 feet) through the jungle. The path leads us to a viewpoint where we can see the Jordan hot springs and their turquoise waters.
At the hot springs, you'll have free time to unwind in the natural pools, which contain minerals such as sulfur known for their health benefits. You will have time to enjoy lunch at a nearby campsite before hiking to La Cruz Mayor viewpoint at an elevation of 800 meters (2,624 feet) above sea level.
The hike continues to La Cara del Indio, a historical rock figure. On the way back to San Salvador, we will stop at the Monument to the Pachamama.
