Blarney Castle, Rock of Cashel & Cahir Castle Day Trip
On the morning of the excursion, we'll meet up in Dublin before setting off to the south. On the way, we'll pass through The Curragh, an area known for horse training, and glimpse the Galtee Mountains.
After a drive of approximately 3 hours, we'll arrive at the Rock of Cashel, one of the Seven Wonders of Ireland. This site features structures from the 12th century including the High Cross, Romanesque Chapel, Gothic Cathedral, and Round Tower, set amidst lush grounds with standing crosses.
Next, we'll arrive at Blarney Castle, which is famous for the Blarney Stone, said to grant the "gift of the gab" when kissed. There will be time to explore the castle ruins and its grounds, which include beautiful gardens and woodland.
Our final stop will be Cahir Castle in County Tipperary, one of Ireland's best-preserved castles from the 13th century, located on a rocky island in the River Suir. A guided tour will provide insights into its history.
During the trip, you'll also see views of the Knockmealdown Mountains, made famous by the Irish folk song Kitty Borne O'Brien. At the end of the day, we'll return to Dublin, with a drop-off at 7 pm at Dame Street in the city centre.
