Howth Peninsula Hiking Tour
At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Spire monument. We will proceed to the train station and leave Dublin city center for the small fishing village of Howth. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes.
Howth is situated on a peninsula at the northern end of Dublin Bay. The village is popular with locals and tourists seeking to experience the Irish countryside.
To explore the area, we'll set out on a walking tour of the Howth Peninsula. During the walk, we'll enjoy views of the Irish Sea and, if the weather permits, see the Mourne Mountains in the distance.
We'll stroll along the Howth fishing pier and wander the extensive grounds of the castle, which features a golf course. We will encounter beech and azalea trees and view a megalithic tomb or dolmen over 3000 years old.
The walk will take you along the cliffs of the peninsula and up to Ben of Howth, the village's highest point, offering many photo opportunities.
After the walk, we will visit a local restaurant for an hour for lunch. Afterward, we will return to the train station to head back to Dublin.
We'll conclude the tour by returning to the starting point between seven and a half and eight hours after the beginning of the activity.
