Visit 1 Merrion Square in Dublin to explore the childhood home of Oscar Wilde. Your visit begins with a 20-minute video presentation that offers an overview of Wilde's life and his parents' stories. After the film, you will begin your exploration starting with Oscar’s father's library, Sir William Wilde, on the ground floor.

Access the house via the back stairs to view an exhibition of artworks by Aubrey Beardsley. Next, you will see the consultation room of Sir William Wilde, which provides insight into the family’s legacy in science and literature.

The dining room and the Speranza room, known for their views of the Oscar Wilde statue, were venues for Speranza’s salons that attracted significant figures from various regions. On the third floor, you'll find the bedrooms of Wilde’s parents, rich in history. The tour concludes in Oscar’s childhood nursery, featuring an exhibition on Wilde’s grand tour of the United States and Canada in 1882.
