This sets the stage for your exploration of the house, starting with the library of his father, Sir William Wilde, on the ground floor.
Enter via the back stairs to view an exhibition of artworks by Aubrey Beardsley, known for illustrating Wilde’s play, "Salome." Next, see the consultation room of Sir William Wilde, highlighting the blend of scientific and literary genius in the home.
Proceed to the dining room and the Speranza room, which have views of the Oscar Wilde statue and were the site of Speranza’s salons—gatherings of prominent figures hosted by Wilde’s mother.
On the third floor, discover Wilde’s parents' bedrooms, followed by Oscar’s childhood nursery featuring an exhibition on his grand tour of the United States and Canada in 1882, showcasing his global fame.
