Discover Dublin's treasures with a guided tour of the Book of Kells, Trinity College's Old Library, Dublin Castle, and George's Street Arcade.

Book of Kells & Dublin Castle Tour

We will meet at the Edmund Burke Statue at the scheduled time.

The tour begins at the Book of Kells, a 1,200-year-old Celtic manuscript known for its medieval illustration. The guide will present the “Turning Darkness into Light” exhibition, discussing the book's origins, symbolism, and painting techniques.

Next, we visit the Old Library at Trinity College, which houses the Long Room containing 200,000 of the library’s oldest books, including the “Brian Boru Harp” and an original copy of the Declaration of Irish Independence.

We will then head to Dublin Castle, originally built in the 13th century. The guided tour includes the castle's gardens, Record and Octagonal Towers, and the Upper and Lower State Yards. The guide will share the castle’s history and notable events.

The tour continues at George’s Street Arcade, an 18th-century shopping district with almost 50 stores and restaurants. After the tour, there's an opportunity to visit the statue of Molly Malone.

This 3-hour tour concludes near Dublin Castle.
