Durango Wild West Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Durango and set off on a tour of the most iconic filming locations from the Wild West genre.

We'll begin by admiring the scenery of the Peña del Águila reservoir, surrounded by eucalyptus forests and candelilla bushes. Around 20 minutes away from the reservoir, we will visit La Joya ranch, owned by John Wayne, where films like The Sons of Katie Elder and the Texas Rising series were filmed.

Next, we will head to the village of San Vicente de Chupaderos. Here, we'll explore its streets and visit the old saloon, the sheriff's office, the gallows, and the cemetery. This town is featured in Westerns such as White Feather.

To walk in the shoes of a real cowboy, we will visit the Villas del Oeste Theme Park, where over 150 productions were shot during the 60s and 70s. We'll wander around the ghost town to see the jail, the saloon, and enjoy a cancan dancer show and a duel to the death.

We will conclude the tour and return to your hotel in Durango, with a total duration of 5.5 hours.
