La Ferrería & El Pueblito Day Trip

Pick-up will be from your hotel for this day trip to various scenic locations in Durango State.

We'll first visit the La Ferrería archaeological site to learn about the lifestyles of the Nahua and Tepehuano tribes and a later sedentary group. This includes viewing a ball game, traditional houses, terraced residences, and petroglyphs that showcase the settlement's history.

Next, we will explore the former hacienda La Ferrería de Flores, established in 1855, gaining insights into the region's mining industry as we walk through the converted stables now serving as gardens. Stunning views of the Tunal River canyon are also available nearby.

Our final destination is the El Pueblito Ecological Park, featuring green spaces, volleyball courts, zip lines, and hanging bridges. You'll have free time for lunch, with recommendations including elotes (corn on the cob) and carnitas (pulled pork). The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is also notable to visit.

At the end of the day, we'll return to your hotel, approximately 8 hours after departure.
