Explore the beautiful hidden treasures found in Durango on our Nombre de Díos Day Trip. Cascading waterfalls, delightful springs, and dreamlike landscapes await.

Nombre de Díos Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Durango and set off for Nombre de Díos. In this pueblo mágico, we'll discover scenic spots in the area.

Our first stop will be the El Saltito Waterfalls, featuring 66-foot (20-metre) high waterfalls from the Mezquital River. Next, we will visit the Berros Springs, known for their natural pools fed by the Acaponeta River. You will have the opportunity to swim.

We will then visit the village of La Constancia to see the Las Compuertas stream, bordered by fig, peach, and apricot trees. Following this, we will go to the El Malpaís mezcalería for tasting mezcal liquor. Fans of Westerns will appreciate a visit to the filming location of A Man Called Horse.

Our journey will continue to Nombre de Díos, founded by the Spanish in 1563. We will explore its cobblestone streets and historic monuments, including the ex-convent of San Francisco. Additionally, we will visit the outskirts to see El Cuevón, a landscape inhabited by golden eagles.

Finally, we will return to Durango, arriving at your hotel approximately 6.5 hours later.
