Marvel at the beautiful, rugged landscapes in the state of Zacatecas on our Sierra de Órganos & Nombre de Dios Day Trip. You'll see a breathtaking national park and try mezcal in a charming town.

Sierra de Órganos & Nombre de Dios Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Durango and head for the Sierra de Órganos National Park. This area features distinctive magmatic rock formations. Explore these extraordinary monoliths.

As we travel through forests of oak, cedar, prickly pear, and cactus trees, you may spot hares, badgers, and white-tailed deer. We will then proceed to our next destination.

Our next stop is the Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) of Nombre de Dios. Here, we will visit the ex-convent of San Francisco, a 16th-century religious building with a detailed façade. Following this, we will enjoy local mezcal at El Malpaís mezcalería, accompanied by bread and cheese.

We will also explore part of the Silver Route, or the Royal Road of Interior Land, an ancient trade route spanning almost 1,600 miles (2,560 kilometres) and recognized as a World Heritage Site. Nearby, we'll visit El Cuevón, a site where golden eagles can be seen and which was used in the film Caveman.

Our day trip concludes upon returning to your hotel in Durango after 6 hours.
