Silent Zone, Mapimí & Ojuela: 2 or 3 Day Tour

Pickup is at 5 am from your hotel for an exciting 2 or 3 day tour in Durango.

Day 1: Durango - Mapimí - Ojuela - Silent Zone

After pickup, we travel to the Pueblo Mágico of Mapimí for breakfast. Our first stop is the Benito Juárez Museum. Next, we visit the Rosario Caves, then the abandoned village of Ojuela, where we check the Santa Rita mine and cross its suspension bridge.

At 4 pm, we reach the Silent Zone for lunch. Following lunch, we'll explore local legends, the Athena missile, and its magnetic anomalies, and enter the Hikuri shrine to learn about shamanism. The day concludes with dinner, a bonfire, and a fire ceremony.

Day 2: Silent Zone - Durango

After breakfast, we visit the railway station where the NASA train was. We then head to Tetas de Juana Hill for photos and pass by the abandoned mercury mines and the Carillo Station, discussing local mysteries. Next, we participate in a symbolic ceremony in honor of the air, return to camp for lunch, and attend the ritual of the earth before returning to your hotel, arriving at 2:30 pm.

3 Day Tour

For a one-day extension, we visit the Los Remedios estate and enjoy thermal baths at El Ojo de la Cueva, including the water ritual. After this, we return for lunch and then head back to your hotel, arriving at 2:30 pm.

Accommodation and meals

This tour includes 1 or 2 nights' accommodation in a cabin for 4, 6 or 8 people with a shared bathroom, or you can choose to camp in a tent with the same capacities.

Buffet-style meals include:

Breakfast: Omelettes with tomato sauce and potatoes, flour tortillas, beans, seasonal fruit, and coffee.Lunch: Soup, fillet steak with vegetables, tortillas, and hibiscus tea.Dinner: Meat burrito, beans, or eggs and water.
