Durres Free Tour

The Amphitheatre, the Archaeological Museum, the Venetian Tower... On this free tour of Durres, we'll discover the charms of this beautiful city located on the Adriatic Sea.

Description

After meeting at the indicated time at Veliera Square, we will start our free tour of Durres. Our first stop will be the Byzantine Forum, the former centre of the ancient city of Dyrrhachium. Next, we will visit the Amphitheatre of Durres.

We'll continue our tour outside the Durres Archaeological Museum, followed by the Alexander Moisiu Cultural Centre, dedicated to contemporary Albanian art. Our next destination is the Top Hane Well and the nearby Santa Lucia Catholic Church, the oldest church in the city, along with The Beauty of Durrës, a masterpiece from the 4th century BC.

We will also explore the Byzantine walls, Roman Baths, and Venetian Tower. We will then visit the Fatih Mosque and the Residence of King Zog I.

The tour will conclude at the seafront promenade, allowing us to enjoy the views of the coast. After a total of 2.5 hours, we will end the tour and say our goodbyes.
