Tour Details

Day 1

Start the adventure by meeting in Edinburgh at 60 High Street. Enjoy views of the Forth Bridge and visit Perthshire. The first stop is Dunkeld, located on the banks of the River Tay. Proceed to the Great Glen, a 62-mile (100 km) valley. Conclude the day at Fort Augustus, with time to explore Loch Ness and search for Nessie. Then, admire Eilean Donan Castle before arriving on the Isle of Skye, where we will overnight in Portree.

Day 2

Explore the dramatic scenery of the Isle of Skye, learning about its myths and legends, including Bonnie Prince Charlie's escape. Visit the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock, and Dunvegan Castle, and spend another night in Portree.

Day 3

Enjoy more exploration in Skye before taking a ferry to Mallaig, with views from the coach of the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Visit Dundreggan Rewilding Centre before returning south through Glencoe and Rannoch Moor, arriving back in Edinburgh around 8:30 pm at Waterloo Place.

Itinerary Changes

In Winter (mid-October to mid-April), the itinerary differs, with Dunvegan Castle visited only in summer. The third day will include the Skye Bridge and Commando Memorial for views of Ben Nevis. The tour may also run in reverse.

Tour Accommodation

All packages include Bed and Breakfast, with accommodations primarily in Portree. Breakfast is included, but no other meals are provided.

Castles open from April to October; alternatives offered from October to April may change the route.Dunvegan and Eilean Donan Castles are optional extras, payable on the day.No ferry rides from April 14-27, 2025; alternative transport by bus will be used.
