Get a slice of Highland life on this day trip to western Scotland, taking in one of its most scenic lochs, the old capital of Stirling, and the Trossachs: land of William Wallace and Rob Roy.

Tour Description

Departing Edinburgh, we travel westwards for our first stop at Loch Lomond, one of the largest lochs in Scotland. Here, you can choose an hour-long cruise with views of the loch's islands or stroll through the lochside village of Luss, known for its cafes and views.

Next, we continue through Trossachs National Park, characterized by lochs, mountains, and forests, and known as the home of Rob Roy MacGregor. Time will be spent exploring before we stop for lunch in a small village.

Post-lunch, we travel through Callander and pass the medieval Doune Castle before reaching Stirling Castle. This historically significant fortress offers wonderful views and the opportunity to learn about historical figures such as William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots before returning to Edinburgh.
