Loch Lomond, Kelpies and Stirling Castle - Small Group Full-Day Tour

A day spent in the land of Scots heroes Rob Roy, Robert the Bruce and William Wallace.

  • 9 - 12 hours
  • Printed voucher
  • Guide included

You travel to Stirling Castle where you can visit the imposing stronghold, the favorite residence of the Stuart Kings, and where Mary Queen of Scots was crowned. You then continue into the beautiful forested hills of the Trossachs National Park and stop for lunch in Aberfoyle.

After lunch, you take the high road to Loch Lomond and you travel through the protected lands of Scotland's first National Park. The route you take is along the eastern shores, a beautiful sheltered stretch of the loch, and the perfect place to enjoy a walk along the bonny banks. You can enjoy the view of Loch Lomond and walk in the footsteps of Scotland's famous highland folk hero, Rob Roy MacGregor. From here you return to Edinburgh in the late afternoon.

Experience the Highlands' natural forests, lochs, and mountains and feel Scotland's past in the heartland of its greatest heroes.

Stirling Castle is one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland. The castle sits on top of Castle Hill surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs that provide a strong defense. This strategic location made it an important fortress from the very beginning. Many Kings and Queens from Scotland have been crowned at Stirling. The castle withstood at least eight sieges during its history.
